NEW YORK (AP) -- Capitalizing on his surge up the tennis rankings, James Blake has signed a multiyear, mid-six-figure endorsement deal with bottled water company Evian.
It's the American's first non-tennis sponsorship deal since he made his debut in the top 10 early this year.
Blake currently is ranked a career-high No. 5 after winning last week's hard-court tournament in Indianapolis, beating Andy Roddick in the final.
"He has clearly turned the corner, establishing himself as a top-10 player. In the marketing world, it's given him a new level of credibility as a corporate spokesperson," said Blake's agent, Carlos Fleming.
