果不其然,在擁有超多大牌(包括最近發片的Anita Baker)的超級藝人公關公司Shore Fire的大力造勢下,Joss Stone要發新片的消息也已經在網路各處及銷售CD網大量曝光!九月28日發表的新專輯叫《Mind, Body and Soul》,Joss上一張初登場專輯《The Soul Sessions》總計賣出200萬張,成績相當不錯,阿喬在自己最新版本的bio上開宗名義說,「For me, personally, Mind, Body and Soul is my real debut」,顯然要讓大家知道她創作的真本事,這一次她在14 首新歌中,包辦12首,雖然不全都是獨自的創作,感覺上是頗受市場期待。

新專輯製作陣容如以下新聞稿原文,值得注意是,幫小威寫〈Leave Right Now〉的Eg White也和Joss及一手栽培Joss的靈魂歌姬Betty Wright合寫首支單曲〈You Had Me〉,已經在16日於VH1盛大首播。

The video for "You Had Me" - the funky, streetwise first single from Joss Stone's forthcoming album 'Mind, Body & Soul' (September 28/S-Curve Records) - will premiere at 8PM on VH1, Monday, August 16. That same evening Joss will perform songs from 'Mind' at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC for VH1's "Inside Track" concert. The concert - which will also feature Maroon 5, Jamie Cullum and Keane - is scheduled to air several times on VH1, premiering at 8PM on Tuesday, September 21.

"You Had Me" was directed by video auteur Chris Robinson (Alicia Keys, Usher), and follows the song's narrative with Joss transcending a once-vibrant relationship gone sour. If you haven't checked out "You Had Me"'s can't-get-it-out-of-your-head, clavinet-driven groove and defiant, withering lyrics, go to the recently revamped www.jossstone.com where you can stream it and other songs from 'Mind, Body & Soul.' Beginning September 21, fans can listen to the album in its entirety and pre-order it from VH1.com.

SOUL SENSATION READIES 'MIND, BODY & SOUL' (S-CURVE RECORDS), THE FOLLOW-UP TO HER GOLD-CERTIFIED DEBUT, FOR SEPTEMBER 28 RELEASE

Add songwriting to the list of Joss Stone's preternatural talents. For the past year, the seventeen-year-old soul sensation has been hard at work on 'Mind, Body & Soul,' the follow-up to her U.S. gold-certified 2003 release 'The Soul Sessions,' which has sold over 2 million copies worldwide. Set for September 28 on S-Curve Records, twelve of the 14 songs on 'Mind, Body & Soul' were written or co-written by Joss.

'The Soul Sessions' was one of the breakout releases of 2003. This collection of deep soul covers heralded a rebirth of the genre, and it has left anticipation running high for an album of original Joss material.

'Mind, Body & Soul' finds Joss further redefining the idea of modern soul, with a voice - and a pen - that are utterly contemporary, yet rooted in the old school. Whether mining a deep well of emotion for ballads such as "Right To Be Wrong," and "Jet Lag" (the former of the two co-written w/ 70s soul diva Betty Wright), or "Spoiled" (co-written with Motown legend Lamont Dozier), strutting to a funky clavinet riff on the album's first single "You Had Me," (also co-written with Wright, and British songwriter Eg White), working with a gospel choir on the inspirational 'Security," or cleverly sampling a rare groove classic by Young-Holt Unlimited on "Don't Cha Wanna Ride," before segueing directly into "Less is More" an ice-cold reggae jam - every song on 'Mind, Body & Soul' stands on its own, and the sum is as unforgettable as its parts.

Like its predecessor, 'Mind, Body & Soul' was co-produced by S-Curve Records president Steve Greenberg, Wright, and studio whiz Michael Mangini. The album was recorded at Mangini's Mojo Studios in NYC, and at the soul mecca Criteria Studios in Miami. Many of the Miami-based soul legends who helped make 'The Soul Sessions' such a hot platter - Betty Wright, Latimore, Little Beaver, Timmy Thomas - returned to the studio this time around. Scan the album notes and you'll find that, in addition to Wright and Dozier, hip-hop trailblazer Salaam Remi (Kurtis Blow, The Fugees), and Portishead singer Beth Gibbons also get co-writing credits, among others. Elsewhere, vocalist/keyboardist Angie Stone, guitarist Nile Rodgers, and Roots drummer ?uestlove all leave their mark.

For an album that initially wasn't even planned for release, 'The Soul Sessions' outstripped all expectations. Fully 10 months after it hit stores 'Sessions' is still on the Billboard Top 200, and the intervening months have seen a string of highlights for Joss, including performances at a tribute to James Brown at Washington DC's Kennedy Center in December ༿, Elton John's annual Oscar Party in LA in February, and the VH1 Divas concert in Las Vegas in April. 'Mind, Body & Soul' suggests we haven't seen anything yet.
